Meet The Team

Born and raised in central BC, Sheldon pursued post secondary education leading him to study dentistry at University of Saskatchewan. After graduating from U of S Dentistry, he began raising a family and starting his practice career. Several years into owning his own successful practice. the call to return to BC to be close to family led him, his wife and three kids to the Okanagan. Opening Barkman Dental studio in 2020 with the goal of providing the highest quality of dental care in. 

Juana graduated from Okanagan College as a certified Dental Assistant in 2020 and has been working for Dr. Barkman since 2021. She enjoys working at an office where everyone works as a team to put the patients needs first.

Lori has been in the dental field for over 39 years.  She was a dental assistant in both general practice dentistry and orthodontics in Alberta before going back to school and graduating as a dental hygienist in 2010.  

She loves getting to know her patients and partnering with them to keep their teeth for a lifetime.

She has two grown children and when she’s not at work, she’s kept busy working on her house and yard.

Jen was raised in the beautiful little town of Armstrong where she currently resides with her husband and 2 daughters.

She has over 20 years experience in the dental industry and brings her skills in clinical dentistry and dental administration to the practice.

Her knowledge and cheerful personality will ensure your visit at Barkman Dental Studio is welcoming and pleasant.

She enjoys spending the sunny okanagan summers camping and at her family cabin on Okanagan Lake.
